Yes, under section 15, the following aliens do not have to comply with the above requirements: (1) A member of diplomatic mission to Thailand or to comply with the above requirements: (2) Members of a consular group including their employees, (3) A person sent by a foreign government to perform an official duty with Thailand. (4) A person who comes to do some thing for the Thai government, (5) A person sent by an international organ to perform duties under an agreement with Thailand, (6) Spouses or children of the above persons, (7) Private servants of the above persons, who hold a document identifying their status, The above exemptions have been enacted in accordance with the rule of international reciprocation. To safeguard the interest of the Kingdom,section 16 gives the minister of interior the power to consider and excludes any of the above persons. And with the approval of the cabinet, the minister may allow certain aliens to stay in Thailand under conditions as he may think appropriate (Section 17) . All aliens entering or leaving Thailand shall be checked by immigration authority under section 18 at the check point by showing to them a list of items provided. In case the immigration authority is of the opinion that the alien is forbidden to enter the Kingdom or bringing in women or children for prostitution or for trading, the authority may (1) provide a proper place for them to stay During investigation (2) require the alien to provide a bond or security or (3) detain the alien or (4) order the alien to report to the authority or (5) order the alien to appear at the local police station for investigation.
